Clara Elinor Brayton of Oklahoma City, OK died March 28, 2015 surrounded by family. She was born October 8, 1926 in Lake Mills, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harold and Catherine Taylor. She was the youngest of 5 siblings. She married Robert Ray Brayton December 22, 1946, and retired from American Automobile Association as the head of the travel department. She volunteered many years with Skyline Ministries as well as Cornerstone United Methodist Church where she was a member since 1952. She was also a member of ABWA.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband Robert of 58 years; her parents, brother and 2 sisters; and granddaughter Jamie Hieb. She is survived by a sister, Ruth Topel of Wisconsin; children Gail and Jerry Shackelford of Newcastle; Ray and Penny Brayton of Oklahoma City; Jon and Arlene Brayton of Wyoming; Peter and Barbara Brayton of Colorado; grandchildren Tim Kunze of Oklahoma City; Kris, Zac, and Brett Brayton of Oklahoma City; Pat and Lisa Ingle of Guthrie; Leanne and Michael Warren of Wyoming; Tina and Kevin Vaughn of Tishomingo; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A service will be held Tuesday, March 31, at 10:00 a.m. at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, 2604 N. May Avenue, Oklahoma City. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City.
